“I arrived in Bangladesh about one month ago. I fled my village [in Myanmar] with my neighbors because
people in black and wearing masks attacked us. They had guns, grenades and machetes and they were killing people.
I don’t know who they are.”

— Rotna, Rohingya refugee and mother of two children

More than half a million people have fled the country of Myanmar over the past two months alone.

The Rohingya people, driven from their homes as a result of violence, have flooded across the border into Bangladesh. These families are struggling just to survive, while more refugees continue to arrive each day. Not only are families without access to basic needs, but lack of shelter and clean water have left thousands of men, women and children at risk of a deadly outbreak of disease.

The Rohingya people need emergency assistance. Now is the time for the church to rise up and help the Rohingya people in their time of need.

Donate to help Rohingya refugees who have fled to Bangladesh.

Rohingya refugees are struggling for survival.

Ongoing violence has recently driven the Rohingya people from their homes in Rakhine State, Myanmar. Thousands of men—husbands, fathers, brothers—have been killed in the conflict. The majority of those fleeing are women and children.

The majority of Rohingya have fled across the border to Bangladesh. But the country is not well equipped to deal with the rapid influx of refugees. Temporary shelters are overwhelmed, under-resourced and unsafe. A single heavy rainfall could wipe away their shelters.

Alongside our partners in the Integral Alliance, World Relief will be responding to this crisis by addressing the immediate needs of displaced families, which will likely include:

  • Provision of food and clean water
  • Safe, reliable shelter
  • Sanitation and hygiene
  • Emergency nutrition assistance

Together, we can help keep the Rohingya people alive.
Together, we can give refugee families a chance to survive.
