• World Relief's programs in Malawi began in 1989.
    • 10.8% of the adult population have HIV/AIDS, and malnutrition levels account for about half of all child deaths.
    • World Relief works with over 1,500 churches across the Central and Northern Regions of Malawi to develop and sustain local community development initiatives. 
    • 800 savings groups are successfully saving, loaning out, and enabling small businesses.
    • 32,520 vulnerable children have been impacted through church volunteers trained in the Care Group model to promote behavior change and increase nutrition among moms as well as children under the age of five.
